About Dr. Kassie Young, DC, CFMP

Dr. Young’s passion for chiropractic care began early in life after experiencing firsthand how adjustments could provide lasting relief from chronic headaches. This personal breakthrough led her to Eastern Illinois University and later to Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri.

The Evolution of Our Practice

After graduating in 2012, she spent five years practicing in Champaign, IL, before transitioning into ownership and establishing Young Chiropractic and Acupuncture.

While Dr. Young remains a firm believer that the body possesses the innate tools to heal naturally through chiropractic care, she recognized a growing need within our community. Many patients were struggling with complex issues, like hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, and persistent weight gain that required more than physical adjustments alone.

To meet this need, Dr. Young became a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP). By incorporating Functional Medicine into the practice, we have shifted from simply managing symptoms to uncovering the biochemical "why" behind them.

A Data-Driven, Holistic Approach

As an advocate for truly holistic care, Dr. Young understands that every system in the body is interconnected. Her approach now combines precise chiropractic techniques, including gentle traction and manual adjusting, with extensive diagnostic lab work.

We no longer guess when it comes to your health. By utilizing comprehensive hormone panels and metabolic testing, Dr. Young identifies specific nutritional gaps and cellular deficiencies. This allows us to provide targeted supplementation and lifestyle protocols that support the body's healing process and help prevent the need for unnecessary medications.

At Young Chiropractic and Acupuncture, we don't just treat the musculoskeletal system; we treat the whole person through the lens of science and the power of natural healing.

SERVICES

CHIROPRACTIC

A Chiropractic adjustment is the use of a gentle, specific force in a precise direction that helps normalize spinal function. The adjustment is applied to a joint that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving properly. Adjustments help return the bones to a more normal position or motion, restoring body's natural healing.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a complementary medical practice that entails stimulating certain points on the body, most often with a needle penetrating the skin, to alleviate pain or to help treat various health conditions, such as carpal tunnel, sciatica, headaches, migraines, and many more.

X-RAY

Upon your new patient examination, some patients will have x-rays taken of the spine. These are a standard procedure, either as a defensive practice to rule out pathology (such as a possible tumor or fracture) and/or to aid in determining where to adjust the spine.

E-STIM &  ULTRASOUND THERAPY

This is the action of muscle contraction using electric impulses and an ultrasound wand. It has been proven to decrease muscle tightness and inflammation around joints and nerves. Many people find relief of muscle spasms and pain after the treatment.
